(Respite accommodation)
We offer Short Term Accommodation (STA), also known as Respite, to provide carers with a break while we deliver personalised 1:1 support.
We take a flexible approach to the location of providing short term accommodation, taking into account goals. We can make arrangements depending on your needs and the availability of suitable accommodation.
During your stay, we support you with daily routines while helping to maintain and build on the skills you’ve already developed. We also encourage participation in hobbies and activities that interest you.
Our committed and experienced team provides a high-quality, flexible service tailored to each person’s needs, including overnight support.
Our Short Term Accommodation (Respite) service is available every day of the year, including during peak holiday times. You can have peace of mind knowing support is available when you need it most. We recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred dates and ensure a well-planned service.
STA is charged on a per night basis, in line with NDIS pricing. It is all-inclusive and covers all supports provided during your stay.
During your stay, Alkira provides:
Alkira has its own fleet of buses; transport is available on a fee-for-service basis. Alkira can provide transport at the start and end of your stay, as well as to and from Alkira day services if you are already attending them.

We’ll provide you with an application form. Once completed, we’ll follow up with a Service Agreement. To allow enough time for processing, we recommend applying at least one month before your intended stay.
Once your Service Agreement is signed, you’re ready to start booking your stays with us.
