Thanks to the generous support of the Hugh D.T. Williamson Foundation, we’ve been able to transform one of our program rooms into a dynamic and modern Computer Hub—now a key space for digital learning and personal development at Alkira.
This once-standard room underwent a complete refurbishment to better meet the needs of the people we support. Upgrades included new flooring, cabinetry, fresh paint, and the installation of electrical and internet points to support a fully digital setup.
Today, the Computer Hub is a vibrant, purpose-built environment where participants can work independently or collaboratively using brand-new technology loaded with the latest software. The space supports a wide range of learning activities—from communication skill-building to educational projects—helping individuals boost their confidence and independence in an increasingly digital world.
