We are delighted to share some wonderful news from our Momentum program.
Earlier this year, both Maddison Spencer and Enrico Chaffey were nominated by Box Hill Institute for the Foundation Student of the Year Award in recognition of their outstanding achievements during the Certificate I in Work Education Course. This in itself was a great honour, but Maddison’s journey didn’t stop there.
Maddison attended the Box Hill Institute’s Student Awards Ceremony with her family. It was an evening filled with pride and celebration as Maddison was announced as the winner of the Foundation Student of the Year Award 2024 – Certificate I in Work Education.
This achievement is a reflection of Maddison’s hard work, passion, and determination. She has gone above and beyond in her learning and development, showing incredible resilience and commitment. We are so proud to see her efforts recognised in such a meaningful way.
At the ceremony, Box Hill Institute shared the following about Maddison’s contribution and character:
“Maddison was a huge asset to both her teachers and peers in the classroom. She was always keen to assist her fellow students and made sure everyone in class was included in discussions. Despite some personal challenges, she learned how to advocate for herself and actively seek support when needed.
As a passionate advocate for people living with disabilities, she now works to support them through her work with advocacy groups and the Victorian Electoral Commission.”
Maddison’s success is an inspiring example of what can be achieved through perseverance, community spirit, and a strong sense of purpose. Her journey also highlights the important role of education in creating opportunities for personal growth and meaningful contribution.
Congratulations, Maddi! This award is so well deserved, and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next.
