We are excited to announce the launch of Alkira’s Participant and Partnership Committee, which officially begins in September. This new advisory group will play an important role in ensuring that lived experience continues to guide how Alkira designs, delivers, and improves our services.
The committee brings together both participants and their partners (family members and carers) to share feedback, raise issues, and work with us on opportunities for improvement and innovation. By combining diverse voices and perspectives, the committee will help us strengthen inclusivity, responsiveness, and person-centred practice across all of Alkira’s services.
This committee also marks a new chapter for Alkira, bringing together and replacing the former Home Supports Committee and Community Supports Committee.
We are delighted to welcome our inaugural members:
- Participant Voices: Alex Pilikidis and Katie Spencer
- Partner Voices: Stella Zigouras, Marose Koster, Paul Kinchington and Dianne Bassett
Each person brings valuable experience, insight, and passion, and we look forward to the positive impact this group will have. We foresee that participant and partners will identify opportunities for co-designed service improvements across all Alkira. This is a step in strengthening collaboration between participants, families, and staff. Together, we can ensure that Alkira’s supports remain relevant, high quality, and led by the voices of those who matter most, the people who use our services.
We look forward to sharing updates from the Participant and Partnership Committee as their work unfolds.
