Alkira’s Independent Me is a community employment preparation service. Here to support people with adisability achieve their goals and increase their capacity to move into open employment, and /or community participation.
Alkira’s Independent Me can assist and support participants in the following ways:
• Individual life skills development.
• Public transport training and support.• Develop skills for community, social and recreational participation.
• Time limited on the job training, and post placement support related to the participant’s disability. Enabling them to manage the demands of the job and workplace environment.
• Assist employers to successfully manage the participant’s placement.
Alkira is passionate about working 1:1 with people to
identify their skills and needs to meet their employment or community goals.
We work passionately to deliver the support needed for each individual. We understand that everyone is different and so are the supports needed to meet their goals and aspirations.
Alkira has over 10 years experience helping people with disabilities take control with accessing the community and employment support.
During this time we have developed strong partnerships with businesses in and around the Melbourne community.
